1. Where is Yolotl Slow Weeks located?

 

We are in the rural area of Tlayacapan, Morelos, Mexico — right in front of the Chichinautzin Biological Corridor. This is a farming community, not a gated neighborhood.

 

2. How far is it from town?

 

20 min walk downhill to the town center 10 min walk to the nearest store & restaurant 3 min walk to a small local spot serving simple Mexican food Taxis and mototaxis can reach the center via our 800 m rural road

 

3. What’s included in the accommodation price?

 

Electricity, water, purified drinking water, rural internet (up to 20 Mbps), use of shared recreation areas, and access to the holistic garden.

 

4. Is food included?

 

Meals are not included in the family retreat or accommodation. We can connect you with nearby eateries or grocery delivery.

 

5. Is laundry available?

 

Yes — we can connect you with a local laundry service that offers pick-up and delivery.

 

6. How do we get there from Mexico City International Airport?

 

Most recommended: Direct taxi service booked through our center Alternative: Bus from the airport to Oaxtepec, then taxi booked via our center Return option: Taxi from our center to Oaxtepec, bus to Mexico City Taxqueña Terminal, then taxi to the airport

 

7. Is airport transport included?

 

No. Airport transfers and other tourist transportation are available for an additional fee. 8. What is the Day 4 field trip? A local cultural or nature experience, usually on foot, with return transportation covered by our center via taxi or mototaxi.

 

9. Is the community fenced?

 

No — we are in open farmland surrounded by nature. Children must be supervised at all times.

 

10. Is there access for people with reduced mobility?

 

Some cabins have inclined ramps or stairs. Please contact us so we can recommend the best option based on your specific needs.

 

11. Are pets allowed?

 

To respect other guests and the local community, pets are not allowed on the premises.

 

12. What is the cancellation policy?

 

Cancellations with at least 15 days’ notice receive an 70% refund. Please check the full terms when booking.

 

13. Is there mobile phone coverage?

 

Mobile signal can be limited due to our rural location. We provide rural internet, but the connection quality and speed may vary depending on the weather and demand.

 

14. What should I bring?

 

We recommend comfortable clothing for mild weather, walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and warmer clothing for cool evenings.

 

15. What are the arrival and departure times?

 

Check-in starts at 9:00 am and check-out is by 6:00 pm.

 

16. What safety measures are in place for children?

 

The property is open farmland without fences or gates, so children must always be supervised by an adult.

 

17. What activities are offered during Yolotl Slow Weeks?

 

Slow living practices, mindfulness, nature exploration, cultural workshops, traditional cooking, and local excursions (including the Day 4 field trip).

 

18. How are medical emergencies handled?

 

Medical services are available in the town, about a 20-minute walk away. We recommend bringing a basic first aid kit and informing us of any special conditions in advance.

 

19. Can I book additional activities or tours?

 

Yes, additional options are available upon request and may involve extra costs
